I started Squidward's head!

At first he was a challenge, figuring out how to do the shape, but it came along a lot easier than I thought it would be. I may do eyelids, not sure yet. Here is the progress so far:

A mobile for an old friend

So an old friend of mine from waaay back in high school is expecting. Her sister sent me a link to a mobile that she really liked but the colors were wrong. She asked if I could create something similar in the correct colors.

I think it is so darling and I would love to make more. It wasn't really hard to make, just tedious putting it all together and wrapping the yarn around the circle and ring at the top. But overall, I think my friend will be delighted.

Coasters are a fantastic way to spruce up your decor!

This pattern is called Halley's Comet and I found it in my Reader's Digest Ultimate Sourcebook of Knitting and Crochet Stitches. I loved putting together the funky fun colors! Made with cotton yarn.

My Grandma had 10 green thumbs. When I decided to plant my own flower garden years ago, she suggested Dianthus because it was easy to care for. Well I got lucky and where I planted mine, ended up being the perfect place and they grew beautifully and she joked about them looking better than hers! They even came back the next year even though they are not supposed to :)

These red Poppies look better in person than in a photo, cameras generally do not like red and I forgot to reduce the saturation:

Some white Orchids:

Here is a totally different style for me, I wanted to try a Southwestern design. I used fabric glue to glue felt circles on the back of the crocheted circles to give them a little bulk and to keep them from curling up.

And lastly, Fuschia, by challenge from my Mom. These flowers are so cool in their design, it was a big pain to do but it turned out well I think:
